OCTOCAM is a high time-resolution multi-channel instrument that is being proposed for the 10.4m GTC telescope. It will perform simultaneous observations in 8 bands, covering the complete spectrum from the ultraviolet (u-band) to the near infrared (K-band) in a single exposure.

The Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi LAT) is a pair conversion telescope sensitive to photons in the energy range 30 MeV to >300 GeV. It was launched on June 11th 2008 and has now been successfully operating for over a year and made breakthrough discoveries in high energy astrophysics.
