An ECSEL (Electronics Componets and System for European Leadership) Research and Innovation Action (RIA) primarily consists of activities aiming to establish new knowledge and/or to explore the feasibility of a new or improved technology, product, process, service or solution. For this purpose they may include basic and applied research, technology development and integration, testing and validation on a small-scale prototype in a laboratory or simulated environment.
Full details of the topics open for proposals, terms and conditions for participation and funding budgets are available in the ECSEL JU Work Plan 2016. (http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/ref/h2020/other/wp/jtis/h2020-wp16-ecsel_en.pdf)
These calls will be executed in parallel and have two phases: a Project Outline and a Full Project Proposal phase. The PO phase will close on 24 May 2016 and the deadline for the FPP phase is 20 September 2016
