
Searching for the Galactic cosmic-ray accelerators

The origins of galactic cosmic rays have puzzled astronomers for over a century. Recent developments in gamma-ray astronomy are revealing that many of our long held assumptions on their origins are clearly not the whole picture. I will attempt to review some of these developments, from a theoretician’s perspective.
